腾讯科技讯 北京时间10月31日消息，据国外媒体报道，知情消息人士透露，思科和EMC将合作销售新的使用云计算的网络设备、计算机及存储设备系列产品。

这个名为“vBlock”的系列产品把思科和EMC联系在一起，以便双方更好地与IBM和惠普竞争。当前，IBM和惠普都推出了较思科和EMC更加广泛的数字中心设备。云计算是指用户可以通过互联网使用的托管计算服务。分析师预计，云计算市场的增长速度将快于其他任何技术市场的增长速度。

消息人士称，思科将向vBlock产品线提供网络设备和服务器，EMC将提供存储设备和其旗下公司Vmware的虚拟技术，双方将于下周正式宣布这项合作项目。

思科和EMC均拒绝就此置评。

此外，作为合作内容的一部分，思科和EMC还将组建一家合资企业，销售托管服务vBlock。用户可以根据他们需要的计算能力和存储要求来支付这项服务，并通过互联网使用。双方组建的合资企业还将为用户组装计算机系统，把所有必须的硬件和软件整合在一起。另一位知情消息人士指出：“vBlock是数据中心的一个‘虚拟模块’。用户可以购买作为一项服务，并最终把这项服务移植到自己的数据中心。”对思科来说，与EMC合作将有助于其向服务器市场进军。今年初，思科推出了首批服务器系列产品。对EMC来说，与思科合作将有助于其拓展云计算业务，这是EMC的核心业务之一。（编译/清雨）
